A distinctive and long-lived Australian native grass tree, Xanthorrhoea glauca is recognised for its impressive trunk, dense crown of blue-grey, grass-like leaves, and spectacular tall flower spikes. Commonly known as the Blue Grass Tree, it develops a striking architectural form with age and can live for many decades. The creamy-white flower spikes provide an excellent source of nectar for bees, birds, and other native wildlife. Hardy and low maintenance once established, it is an excellent feature plant for native, coastal, and waterwise landscapes.
