Description:
A graceful Australian native shrub or small tree with soft, fine green foliage and masses of fluffy white flowers that cover the plant in summer, giving it a snow-like appearance. The blooms are rich in nectar and highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and birds. Fast growing and adaptable, it is widely used for screening, habitat planting, and ornamental landscaping. It thrives in wet, damp and boggy conditions and is ideal for areas with poor drainage and is highly adapted to growing in waterlogged soils, swamps, and along watercourses. The leaves are rich in essential oils, particularly terpinen-4-ol, which has antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.
