A small to medium-sized eucalyptus prized for its striking silvery-blue foliage. The juvenile leaves are round and powdery with a soft, glaucous coating that gives the plant its distinctive colour and ornamental appeal. Often grown for foliage it is popular in gardens and widely used in floral arrangements. Its compact habit makes it suitable for smaller landscapes compared with many other eucalypts.
