Description:
A large and long-lived Australian native eucalyptus, Eucalyptus obliqua is a striking forest tree recognised for its rough, fibrous bark, tall trunk, and broad, spreading canopy. Commonly known as Messmate Stringybark, it produces clusters of creamy-white flowers that provide an important source of nectar for bees, birds, and other native wildlife. A valuable habitat tree, it is well suited to larger properties, revegetation projects, windbreaks, and native landscapes where there is sufficient room for its substantial mature size.
