Description:
A hardy Australian native tussock-forming perennial with attractive blue-green, strap-like foliage and delicate violet-blue flowers held above the foliage in spring and summer. Commonly known as Coast Flax Lily, Dianella brevicaulis forms dense clumps that provide excellent structure and groundcover in native and coastal landscapes. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, while the attractive blue to purple berries that follow provide food for native birds. Tough, adaptable, and low maintenance, it is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, mass planting, borders, revegetation, and erosion control.
