It’s widely planted for its high-quality timber, ornamental beauty, and resilience, making it a favorite in both commercial forestry and landscape settings. Its canopy provides dappled shade and habitat for wildlife.

It is renowned for producing some of the highest-quality hardwood timber in Australia, and it's widely used both domestically and internationally.
