Corymbia citriodora is a tall, elegant Australian native tree admired for its smooth, pale bark and strong lemon-scented foliage. When crushed, the leaves release a powerful citrus aroma due to high levels of citronellal, making it both ornamental and functional. It's widely planted in parks, streetscapes, and revegetation projects, and is a source of essential oil with insect-repelling properties. It is also a common food source of Koalas.
It produces timber that is moderately durable and highly valued for its aesthetic qualities and functional uses.Ā
