Description:
A hardy, fast-spreading Australian native succulent groundcover with thick, fleshy green leaves and spectacular daisy-like flowers ranging from pink to purple. Commonly known as Karkalla or Pigface, Carpobrotus rossii is naturally found in coastal environments and is exceptionally well adapted to harsh, exposed conditions. Its vibrant flowers provide a valuable food source for bees and other pollinators, while its dense, trailing growth helps stabilise sandy soils and control erosion. The plant also produces fleshy, edible fruits that can be eaten fresh or used in jams and preserves.
