Drought hardy Australian native with a broad dense canopy - common shade tree, street tree and landscaping tree. It's also known as a good source of drought fodder for livestock as it's leaves and branches have high nutritional quality. The leaves contain a reasonable amount of protein and fat and are palatable. More details about the fodder value of Kurrajong can be found in the Enrich study:

Seeds are also edible to humans.
Kurrajong is best grown in full sun and on moderate to deep sandy well-drained loams.
