Acacia verniciflua – Varnish Wattle

A hardy Australian native shrub or small tree with attractive narrow foliage and masses of bright yellow, ball-shaped flowers that appear mainly in winter and spring. Commonly known as Varnish Wattle, Acacia verniciflua is valued for its dense, bushy growth and ability to thrive in a range of challenging conditions. Its abundant flowers provide an important source of nectar for bees, native birds, and other pollinators. Well suited to screening, habitat planting, revegetation, and native gardens, it is a versatile species for both naturalistic and low-maintenance landscapes.
