A fast-growing, medium-sized Australian native tree with a rounded canopy and finely divided, fern-like foliage. It produces masses of pale yellow to cream, fluffy flower clusters that are lightly fragrant and highly attractive to bees. Known for its rapid establishment and nitrogen-fixing ability, it is often used to improve soil fertility and provide quick shelter in revegetation and farm systems. It also has some value as timber tree and for firewood it is generally short lived species approx. 20 years
